Our hand rolled Himalayan Smudge Sticks contain foraged herbs gathered from local farms located in the Himalayan mountainside in Nepal, that are blended using traditional methods in order to soothe the soul and promote healing on all levels. Each smudge stick includes the following ingredients:
SAGE: to summon divine energies
CAMPHOR: to dispel negative thoughts and spirits
MENTHA: to bring clarity and insight
SANDALWOOD: to ground chaotic energies and calm the soul
SMUDGE STICK SIZE: approx 18.5cm long
Each individual smudge stick includes a leaflet that is wrapped around the smudge stick with twine. Each leaflet includes information about the smudge stick, instructions for burning, a mantra and the gift of UNALOME a Buddhist and Hindu principle that explains humanity's ultimate life journey from birth to eventual enlightenment. Our Himalayan Smudge Stick has been created to aid its owner through the chaotic twists and turns that form our human experience and serves as a reminder that each moment brings us closer to the ultimate goal of enlightenment.

INSTRUCTIONS
- To clear your home, start by opening up all the doors and windows as the intention is to drive out any negative energies out of your spaces. You can simply hold the smudge stick in your hand or let it sit in a heat proof dish/container (Eg. Abalone shell).
- Light the top end of the stick and allow it to smoulder and smoke, eventually filling the room and every nook and cranny.
- You can optionally say a simple affirmation (silently or out loud) such as “I clear away all negativity and invite positive energy into my home” or “this smoke cleanses negativity from my home and allows me to move forward in a new and positive direction”.
- It doesn’t matter how fast you go or which direction but rather your intention is the key factor!
- Remember to never leave things unattended and keep out of reach of children. Any unused Himalayan smudge stick can be put it out and reused next time. You could also burn a bit of Palo Santo afterwards (due to its more pleasant aroma) to help reinforce the purification and cleansing process.
WHICH SIZED SMUDGE STICK DO I NEED?
As a starting point, a small stick should do any average sized house/unit.
The only reason why you might want to get a medium or a large stick is because it offers better value for money because whatever you don't burn, you can always relight the next time you wish to use it.
The rate at which you will go through your smudge stick is dependent upon:
- How many times you go around the house (thoroughness of your routine)
- How quickly or slowly you are going around the house (speed of your routine)
- How much you are waving/blowing the stick which creates the smoke (rate of burn of the stick)
