Tibetan prayer flags date back to over 2000 years ago. They are said to bring happiness, longevity and prosperity and are inscribed with auspicious symbols, invocations, prayers, and mantras. They use colours of the five elements such as blue for sky, white for air, red for fire, green for water and yellow for Earth. Along with the natural energy of the wind, it is believed they can quietly harmonise the environment and increase happiness and good fortune among all living beings.
